Please follow the steps below to factory reset a typical Yealink phone:
- Power on the phone and plug in the Ethernet cable.
- Wait until the “Idle” screen is visible.
- Hold down the “OK” or “REDIAL” (if Android phone) or “Mute Indicator” button until the message “Reset to factory settings?” appears.
- Press “OK” or “Yes” depending on the model.
- Your phone has been successfully reset.
For cordless phones with a base:
Option 1:
To reset the phone to factory via handset user interface:
- Press OK to enter the main menu.
- Select Settings->System Settings.
- Select Base Reset, and then press the OK soft key.
- Enter the system PIN (default: 0000), and then press the Done soft key.
- Select Reset to factory, and then press the OK soft key. The LCD screen prompts “Reset base to factory configuration now?”.
- Press the Yes soft key.
Option 2:
- Power off the unit by unplugging the device
- Wait 15 seconds
- Press and hold the connect button on the base station
- Reconnect the power
- Wait until all 3 status lights are on, showing solid green
- Release the button and wait 5 minutes
- Power off the unit
- Wait 15 seconds
- Reconnect the power
- Your phone may update its configuration after the reboot which may result in a second reboot process automatically within a minute or two of the first reboot
Note: You will need to re-pair the handset after resetting the base station back to factory defaults. To repair, follow the steps below:
Pairing Wireless Handset with Base
Option1:
1. When the handset LCD screen prompts “Press base paging 2s then press Reg.”, long press the Wireless button on the base station until the registration LED flashes.
2. Press the Reg soft key on the handset to register quickly.
Option 2:
1. When the handset LCD screen prompts “Press base paging 2s then press Reg.”, long press the Wireless button on the base station until the registration LED flashes.
2. Press the OK soft key on the handset.
3. Select Register Handset.
4. Select the desired base and then press the OK soft key. The handset begins searching the base.
5. Press the OK soft key after searching a base successfully.
6. Enter the base PIN (default: 0000), and then press the Done soft key to complete registration.
NOTE: You can also press the OK key to enter the main menu, and then select Settings > Registration > Register Handset and repeat steps 2-4 to register multiple base stations.
After the success of registration, the handset LCD screen prompts “Handset Subscribed” and “Base NO. (The last 4 characters of connected Base’s MAC address)”. If the handset LCD screen prompts “Searching for Base”, please check if your base station is powered on.
